Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series Overview

Engine

The new Handcrafted AMG V8 engine with flat-plane crankshaft powers the new AMG GT Black series with 720 horsepower between 6,700 and 6,900 rpm and a maximum torque of 590 lb-ft between 2,000 and 6,000 rpm. An entirely new personality and level of driving enjoyment are provided by the Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series’ all-new engine. GT Black Series accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.1 seconds and can hit 124mph in just under nine seconds. The vehicle can reach a top speed of 202 mph.

Nurburgring

With a time of 6:43.616 minutes for the 12.8 mile-long track and 6:48.047 minutes for the 12.944 mile-long total track, the GT Black Series has been officially measured, notarized, and certified as the fastest street-legal “sports cars” on the market.

Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series race cars have a closer visual and technical connection to the AMG GT3 and AMG GT4 road cars than ever before. The new carbon-fiber hood, with its two large exhaust air outlets in black-finished carbon, is another direct derivation from motorsport, in addition to the larger cooling air intake upfront from the AMG GT racing car. Warm air from the diagonally positioned cooling pack exits the engine compartment through these large openings. Increases the vehicle’s downforce. In addition, the engine’s cooling airflow is optimized, reducing air resistance.

Additionally, the bearings on the upper and lower wishbones of the rear axle are straight out of Formula 1. Toe-in and camber do not change under high loads because of their motorsport design. Precision steering and clear feedback are provided by the AMG GT Black Series, resulting in excellent cornering performance.
