2023 Toyota Tundra Trim Levels and Standard Features

by Frank

2023 Toyota Tundra Trim Levels Explained: The full-size 2023 Toyota Tundra pickup truck underwent a complete facelift only one year ago. It is substantially more powerful, capable, and comfortable than the generation before it, but given that the latter has been available since 2007, it shouldn’t come as a surprise. The new turbocharged V6 engine, one of the biggest upgrades, provides about the same amount of power as the previous Tundra’s V8 engine but produces more torque, which is useful for towing, and it has much better EPA-estimated fuel efficiency. A hybrid V6 engine is also an option, giving the Tundra more power than the conventional V6.

Available Packages

There are three notable available packages for the 2023 Toyota Tundra trim levels.

The SR5 trim level is the only one that offers the new SX Package. It is available on CrewMax versions with the 5.5-foot bed as well as Double Cab models with a 6.5-foot bed. The Dark Gray Metallic 18-inch wheels and the substitution of black for body-color equipment, including the outer door handles and the rear inboard bumper, provide the Tundra with a powerful look in all situations. For a more simplistic appearance, the Tundra door badges are deleted, and on versions that support it, the 4X4 badge on the tailgate is blacked out. Black accents replace smoked silver trim within the interior, which receives a similar treatment.

The TRD Off-Road Package, which is available on the SR5, Limited, and 1794 models, consists of 18-inch TRD wheels (unique 20-inch wheels on the Limited and 1794), a TRD grille, an off-road suspension, skid plates, mudguards, and a shift knob covered in TRD leather. The 4X4 versions also come with Multi-Terrain Select, Crawl Control, and electronic rear differential locks.

On 4X2 or 4X4 SR5 vehicles in CrewMax and Double Cab configurations, the TRD Sport Package is more focused on the road. 20-inch TRD wheels, a TRD grille, a TRD lowered sport suspension, and a TRD leather-wrapped shifter are all included.

2023 Toyota Tundra Trim Levels: Which One to Buy

When deciding which of the 2023 Toyota Tundra trim levels to purchase, I suggest paying particular attention to the Limited trim since it comes with a nice selection of standard amenities and the ability to add more. It has 20-inch wheels, a 14-inch touchscreen, heated and ventilated front seats, and synthetic leather upholstery. Additionally, it is the first model with a hybrid engine.
